FAMILIES are being invited to enjoyed Mid Cheshire's 'biggest' bonfire and fireworks display as it returns for 2024.
Organised by Northwich Rotary Club and Northwich Round Table, Firefest will take place at the town's Verdin Park on Saturday, November 2.
More than 2,800 individual firework bursts can be expected, with some having a spread of more than 75 metres, all set off to music from Radio Northwich.
In addition to the fireworks and bonfire there will be a fairground consisting of kiddies’ rides and a range of food and drink outlets.
Chad Millington, from Northwich Round Table, said: "While the emphasis is on fun and creating a great spectacle it is also important to recognise Firefest is organised by a team of dedicated volunteers and that every penny of profit will go to local charities."
The organisers are putting on the event this year with help from Agora and support from Northwich Town Council and Northwich BID, which promises to make the 2024 festival bigger and better than ever.
Elizabeth Walton, president of Northwich Rotary Club, added: "Firefest is a great way to enjoy fireworks in a safe environment and we remind visitors that for safety reasons they must not bring alcohol or any of their own fireworks, including sparklers, onto the site."
Gates open at 5.30pm with the bonfire being lit at 6.30pm and the firework display itself at 7.15pm.
Ticket prices remain unchanged this year at £10 (for ages 16 and over), £5 (ages four to 15) and free entry for under-threes.
Tickets can be bought securely online from rotaryinnorthwich.org.uk/firefest.
