TWO teenage boys have been arrested after the police helicopter spotted a moped being ridden dangerously in Winsford.
Airborne for an unrelated incident, the police chopper sighted a moped passing officers in Woodford Road at around 12.35am on Monday, September 30.
The moped's rider and passenger were then seen making off down a nearby footpath.
The police helicopter followed the vehicle as it rode dangerously along roads and pedestrian footpaths across the town before being abandoned in Bradford Road.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "Two 17-year-old boys were located nearby and arrested for various offences including dangerous driving, driving otherwise than in accordance, no insurance, drug drive and carrying a passenger.
"One of the teenagers was also arrested for theft of bank card which was found in their possession when they were arrested.
"Both teenagers have since been released on bail pending further enquires."
