A SUSPECT has been charged by police with dangerous driving on the M56, as well as drug supply offences.

This came to a head at junction 10 of the motorway for Stretton following a police incident on Sunday morning.

A 30-year-old man from Wales has since been charged with dangerous driving, possessing illegal class A and B drugs with intent to supply them and possessing criminal property.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “A 30-year-old man from Wrexham has been charged with drug and dangerous driving offences.

“Maredudd Francis was arrested at around 9.24am on Sunday, September 29, by officers from Cheshire Police’s roads and crime unit at junction 10 of the M56.

“The 30-year-old, of Coed Aben, Wrexham, has since been charged with dangerous driving and possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis, and possession of criminal property.

“Francis appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 1, where he was remanded in custody to appear at Mold Crown Court on Tuesday, October 29.”
