A WINSFORD driver has been banned from the roads for more than three years after being caught behind the wheel while over the limit for two drugs.
Mohammadi Peshawan, of Weaver Grove, was driving a Toyota Yaris along Westminster Street in Crewe on April 1 when he was caught earlier this year.
Subsequent blood tests revealed the 36-year-old had 3μg/l of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, a component of cannabis, and 68μg/l of Benzoylecgonine, a breakdown product of cocaine, in his system.
The legal limits for these drugs are 2μg/l and 50μg/l respectively.
Peshawan was charged with two counts of drug-driving, which he pleaded guilty to at Crewe Magistrates Court on September 26.
Taking his admission into account, magistrates disqualified Peshawan from driving for 40 months and fined him £436.
He was also ordered to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85 and a surcharge of £174.
