A fallen tree has led to disruption on a railway line between Chester and Manchester.
The incident has been reported at Plumley, which has disrupted services which were running between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly via Altrincham. Trains are currently unable to run between Chester-Altrincham.
Network Rail has been made aware of the issue and engineers are expected to arrive at the site by 1.30pm. Disruption is expected until 2pm.
Northern services between Manchester Victoria-Chester via Warrington Bank Quay are unaffected by this incident. Customers may use their tickets to travel on these services, however please be aware that these services will call at different stations between Chester-Manchester Victoria.
Chester Railway Station already has ongoing disruption on the Merseyrail line due to flooding in the Hooton area.
Rail replacement buses are in operation between Hooton and Chester, while a 30-minute service is running on the Ellesmere Port line.
