A DRIVER has been arrested after crashing and flipping an Aston Martin.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, drink driving, drug driving and taking a vehicle.
It comes following a crash on the A530 Nantwich Road in Wimboldsley this morning (September 18), during which the vehicle hit a hedge and flipped onto its roof.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At 4.38am on Wednesday, September 18, police were called to reports of a collision on the A530 Nantwich Road, Wimboldsley.
“Officers attended the scene and found that a black Aston Martin had collided with with a hedge and overturned.
“The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving, drink driving, drug driving and taking a vehicle without consent.”
The suspect has since been taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
Meanwhile, the A530 was closed while officers dealt with the incident, reopening at 7.30am.
North West Ambulance Service and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene, with the latter sending two fire engines.
A CFRS spokesperson said: “The fire, police and ambulance services were called to a report of a car on its roof in a field, with a casualty trapped inside.
“Firefighters stabilised the vehicle and used air bags to lift it to enable the casualty to be released and handed into the care of the ambulance personnel.”
