- This follows a closure in both directions between junction 17, for Congleton and Sandbach, and junction 18, for Middlewich and Northwich, due to fallen power cables.
- Warning of tailbacks and congestion of up to 12 miles remain in place.
- Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
