DO you have what it takes to get people into the Christmas spirit?

The Magical Woodland at Blakemere is looking for performers to help entertain guests as the gates open for the 2024 festive season.

A number of actors are employed around the 10-acre woodland light trail on selected dates in November and December.

In particular, the Magical Woodland is searching for a 'female-identifying' actor to take on the role of Mrs Claus.

The character is described as having a calm, sweet voice and nature, being kind to all children and getting them into the Christmas spirit.

Improvisation is a must for the successful applicant to play Mrs Claus, who will be stood in her cookie cabin alongside an elf.

Applicants need to be available on November 29 and 30, as well as December 1, 6, 7, 8, and December 13 to 24.

The role will potentially extend after Christmas to December 31.

Pay will be £2,340 for the 18 days, plus a performance-related bonus at the end of the job. The contract is on a self-employed basis.
