A POPULAR beer and music festival is returning to Northwich for its 30th year.
This month will see the Northwich Beer, Drinks and Music Festival take place once again at the Memorial Court in Chester Way.
Organised by the four clubs that make up Rotary in Northwich, the event will see guests given the chance to sample dozens of beers, as well as ciders, gins, wines and more.
And this year, there will be some new beers to enjoy, including four from the Northwich-based HUSH Brewing Co.
To mark the 30th year milestone, one of the beers on offer has been specially brewed by Rotary in Northwich members and Friends of the Festival.
Beer is not the only drink on the menu however, as there will also be a selection of new gins to try, as well as Prosecco, wine, cider, and a range soft drinks on offer.
Northwich Rotary president Elizabeth Walton said: "Rotary in Northwich, including Rotaract in Northwich, is proud putting this event on for the benefit of the public and knowing that funds raised by this event will go to local charities and local good causes."
The festival will take place from 6pm to 11pm on Friday, September 20, and from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday, September 21. There will also be a Saturday evening session from 6pm to 11pm.
The entertainment for 2024 has been tweaked this year.
On the Friday, the Knutsford Musical Theatre Company will be doing a performance of its Rock of Ages routine on stage, followed by headliner DJ Max Mutant.
The following evening will start off with the Northwich Uke Club playing modern songs with a twist, before Northwich band The Bohemian Kings take to the stage.
For those who prefer a quieter moment, there will be more tables and chairs available during the Saturday afternoon session.
All proceed from the event will go towards Rotary charities, with the 2022 and 2023 festivals raising more than £16,000 combined.
Tickets and further details are available online at northwichbeerfestival.co.uk, which is the quickest way of entry, or alternatively cash or card will be accepted at the door.
