POLICE have named a Middlewich man arrested along with five other people following drug raids across Cheshire.
Yesterday morning (Thursday), officers executed five warrants at properties across the county as part of an investigation into the supply of class A and B drugs.
The raids, which took place as part of Operation Goblet, were carried out by North West Regional Organised Crime Unit officers, supported by Cheshire Police.
Searches of the properties revealed large amounts of cash and drugs, which were seized along with high value items such as jewellery, watches and vehicles.
Six people were also taken into custody, with five men arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and a woman detained on suspicion of money laundering.
All suspects were taken to be questioned at their local police stations. Now the five men have been charged.
Thirty-six-year-old Stephen Lloyd, of Stanthorne Place, Middlewich, is among that number and has been charged with conspiring to supply cocaine and cannabis, as well as possessing criminal property.
The others charged include:
- John Collins, aged 36, from Sandbach, has been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis, and possession of criminal property;
- Jack Miller, aged 35, of Minshull New Road, Crewe, was charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine;
- Owen Lloyd, aged 25, of Chambers Street, Crewe, was charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine;
- and Konrad Kupczysk, aged 27, of Brooklands Grove, Crewe, was charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine, possession with intent to supply cannabis, and possession of amphetamine.
They have been remanded into custody and are due to appear at Chester Magistrates Court this morning (Friday, September 6).
