RESIDENTS evacuated their home after a fire.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to Middlewich today (September 3) following reports of a house fire.
Three engines, one each from the Winsford, Northwich and Crewe, stations arrived at the scene on Greendale Drive shortly after 8am.
While the residents of the property had to be evacuated, fortunately no one was harmed as a result of the blaze.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Fire crews were called to a fire contained to a room within a residential home in Middlewich.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus took a hose reel jet into the building, but the fire was reportedly out on arrival.
“A high-pressure fan was used to clear smoke.
“Residents were evacuated; thankfully no one has been reported as harmed during the incident.”
