STORM Lilian has caused power cuts throughout Cheshire damage.
Strong winds and heavy rain swept through the county overnight.
This has caused ‘significant damage’ to SP Energy’s network, leaving many homes without power.
Properties in Winsford, Northwich, Knutsford, Lymm and Walton have all been impacted.
Engineers are now working to resolve the issue, with power expected to be returned to the affected properties by 4pm today (August 23).
“Storm Lilian has caused significant damage across our network,” read a notice shared on the SP Energy website earlier this morning.
“Our engineers will be continuing to investigate and repair the network and we currently expect the power to be back on in stages by 4pm.
“Please speak with us if you are aware of any damage to the network or if this information does not apply to you.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
Post code areas affected by the power cuts include CW6, CW7, CW8, CW9, CW10, WA4, WA6, WA13, and WA16.
