RUPERT Holmes may have found his perfect match as one thing is clear, Northwich loves piña coladas.

Thankfully there was no getting caught in the rain as record numbers flocked to the town for the fourth edition of the festival.

And why would anyone be thinking about making an 'Escape'? With cocktails flowing and live music echoing down the streets, there really couldn't have been a better place to be on Saturday (August 17).

Councillor Kate Cernik, Northwich Town Mayor, said: "It was amazing to see so many people in Northwich over the weekend enjoying the festival, I must thank everyone who organised this festival and worked at the event ensuring that we all stayed safe and had a fantastic time in Northwich.

"The town's events go from strength to strength every year and visitors are travelling from far and wide to visit our town. Long may it continue!"

On Witton Street, children were kept entertained by games and candyfloss as traders enjoyed a surge in business.

Barons Quay drew huge crowds with funfair rides, arts and crafts and music courtesy of Radio Northwich.

Meanwhile, Apple Market Place was full to the brim as festivalgoers enjoyed sipping cocktails and listening to live music.

On hand to capture all of the action was photographer Karl Brooks so, without further ado, please enjoy a selection of his snaps.
