A FALLEN tree has blocked a road.
Motorists travelling between Northwich and Winsford may have encountered an unexpected obstacle today.
In the early hours of Monday morning (August 12), a tree came crashing down on Mill Lane in Whitegate.
The road is currently blocked as a result.
Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cheshire Police have been made aware.
A spokesperson for the police said: “At 1.41am on August 12, police were made aware of a fallen on Mill Lane, Whitegate.
“The matter was reported to Highways officers.”
It is understood the fallen tree is located just past Riverside Park and the turn for Newbridge Swing Bridge.
