CARE home staff and family members came together to celebrate the latest birthday of one of its most long-lived residents.
Last month, Sandiway Lodge Nursing Home resident Doreen Manning enjoyed a special tea party, organised in honour of her 104th birthday.
And when quizzed on her secret to a long life, Doreen revealed a tipple or two was the answer.
Sharon Trainor, from Sandiway Lodge, said: "Doreen is amazing and really enjoys all of our celebrations.
"We asked Doreen for her secret to long life and she replied glass of water in the morning, a glass of wine whilst cooking dinner and gin!
"It was a lovely day. Congratulations Doreen!"
In her youth, London-born Doreen moved to Nairobi where she met her husband, CH 'Bob' Manning.
Returning to the UK, the couple and their two children lived in Norfolk, where Doreen was a member of the Women's Institute.
The grandmother-of-four, who also has three great-grandchildren, enjoys flower arranging and needlework, and was a gold thread embroiderer.
And it was one of Doreen's granddaughters, recently-married Louisa, who made her day, by changing into her wedding dress.
