IN the last five years, the average house price in the UK has risen by around 25 per cent.
According to the UK House Price Index, in May 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic, the average property price in the country was £229,061, compared to £285,201 in the same month this year.
Professional fast sales company Property Solvers have tracked average sold data from the HM Land Registry since 2019.
And after compiling the sold house price data over the last five years, the company has been able to put together a list of Northwich's 'most and least expensive' residential streets.
Chester Road (CW8) topped the list of the 10 most expensive streets with an average sale price of £484,166.
Moss Road (also CW8) came in second boasting sale prices of around £440,000 while Manchester Road (CW9) was third with house prices on that street usually reaching £395,000.
Commenting on the data, Property Solvers co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam said: “To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had more than three sales.
“It’s therefore worth noting that, in recent years, a property on Chester Road (CW8) sold for £712,500 and, at the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for £35,000 and under in the town.”
