AN inquest has been opened into the death of a Northwich man as concerns have been raised over his care and treatment in hospital.
Roger Johnson, of Cuddington, was admitted to Leighton Hospital on June 18.
Cheshire Coroner’s Court heard during a hearing on Wednesday (August 7) how the 77-year-old had undergone an operation on his left hip previously.
Mr Johnson died in the same hospital on July 28, with his identification being confirmed by a nurse the following day.
Area Coroner of Cheshire, Victoria Davis opened an inquest into Mr Johnson's death, citing ‘care and treatment concerns’ as the reason for it to take place.
Ms Davis then adjourned the hearing, with the full inquest to take place on January 21, 2025.
