To celebrate this anniversary, the firm issud an open callout for not-for-profits, charities and community interest groups based near their three plants - Winnington, Lostock and Middlewich – and received more than 50 applications.

A specially selected panel of TCE employees from across the business then voted for 12 schemes to support with volunteers and a £500 grant.

Alongside DSC, successful applicants include Chapter Mental Health, Cheshire Autism Practical Support, Winsford Community Disabled Football Club, Disability Positive, Let’s Farm and Snow Angels CIC.

The scheme will also support women and girls in the local area by working with Winnington Park Ladies RFC, Motherwell Cheshire CIO and Green Uniform and Baby Bank.

With a strong track record of supporting local schools and STEM projects, the fund will also offer Lostock Gralam Primary School PTA and Northwich and District Youth Centre financial support and staff volunteers.

Pauline Yould, TCE’s HR and communications manager, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer financial support as well as our time to so many initiatives and schemes that are doing invaluable work in the local communities that surround our plants.

“We look forward to seeing the amazing work that can be achieved by all our winners.”
