A WOMAN has been banned from the roads after twice being caught behind the wheel while on cocaine.

Victoria McGill, of Sycamore Avenue, Winsford, appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court on July 30 to face three drug-driving charges.

The court heard the 41-year-old was first stopped in a Vauxhall Astra in Weaver Street, Winsford, on January 23 earlier this year.

On this occasion, a blood test revealed McGill had more than 32µg/L of cocaine and 800µg/L of benzoylecgonine, a cocaine breakdown product, in her system.

The legal limits for these drugs are 10µg/L and 50µg/L respectively.

But McGill was caught again on June 8, behind the wheel of a Land Rover Freelander in Swanlow Lane.

During the incident it was found she had 562µg/L of benzoylecgonine in her blood.

In the dock on July 30, McGill pleaded guilty to all three charges.

Taking into account her admission, magistrates fined her a total of £240 and disqualified her from driving for three years.

The bench also ordered McGill to pay a victim surcharge of £96.
