A HIT-AND-RUN at a busy roundabout left a teenager in hospital.
A 14-year-old boy suffered a broken collar bone after being hit by a black BMW in Northwich.
The boy had been cycling across Davenham Roundabout on the A556 when he was struck at around 4.40pm on Friday (August 2).
As the BMW drove off without stopping, police are now investigating the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: “At 5.21pm on Friday (August 2) police were called to a fail to stop collision in Northwich.
“The caller reported that at 4.40pm, a 14-year-old cyclist was crossing Davenham Roundabout, on the A556, when he was hit by a black BMW which failed to stop at the scene.
“The boy was taken to Leighton Hospital and is believed to have suffered a broken collar bone.
“Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101, or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us quoting IML 1885758.”
