BRIDGES are set to swing, the Canal & River Trust has confirmed.
Motorists can expect delays in Northwich on Monday, August 5 and Thursday, August 8.
Altogether six swings are planned this week, bringing traffic to a halt.
The first swing on Monday will be the Town Swing Bridge on the A533 Chester Way at 9.30am and the second takes place at 10am.
Further delays are expected on Thursday, August 8 when five swings are scheduled as follows:
Hayhurst Swing Bridge, A5509, Northwich at 09.30am.
Town Swing Bridge, A533, Chester Way at 10am.
Winnington Swing Bridge, A533, Runcorn Road at 1pm.
Acton Swing Bridge, A49, Acton Bridge at 10.30am.
Sutton Swing Bridge, Chester Road/Sutton Causeway, A56 at 12pm.
Each of the swings is expected to take approximately five minutes but can sometimes take between 20 and 30 minutes.
