BUDDING young filmmakers in Winsford have a chance to turn their creative ideas into on-screen reality under the guidance of true expert.
Community film project and exhibition space, Cine-Window, is launching a new free monthly film club for children and young people at Winsford Library.
Taking place on the first Monday and Thursday each month, children and young people can go on an exciting journey into the world of virtual reality filmmaking.
They’ll get to use 3D cameras, experience the magic of virtual reality, and discover the art of set building, motion tracking, and cinematic world building.
The club will be led by award-winning videographer, Joey Edwards, who has made films for Chester Zoo and the BBC.
The next session for children aged 8-11 years will take place at 4.30pm to 6.30pm on Monday, August 5, at Winsford Library.
The next session for 12- to 16-year-olds is on Thursday, September 5, 4.30pm to 6.30pm, also at the library.

Cine Window Winsford is an exhibition space showing artist and community film projects in Winsford Cross Shopping Centre.
Since 2019, it has has commissioned and screened films and moving image made with creative communities in the town.
Recent projects include Rainbow, alongside Winsford U3A poetry group, and Visible Mending, documenting Rachel Davies’ sewing workshop series at the town’s Crosshatch studios.
Cheshire West and Chester cabinet member, Cllr Nathan Pardoe, said: “Cine- Window is an assets to Winsford, and its fantastic work is loved by many.
“I hope people get involved with the summer events and activities as they’re a great opportunity for children and young people to be creative and have fun.
“Culture, creativity, and play are vital parts of modern town centres and are supported by CWAC as part of its regeneration of Winsford.”
Cllr Lisa Denson, CWAC cabinet member for a fairer future, said: “Cine- Window is rooted in Winsford and its work with people from different groups and backgrounds, and of different ages, helps support co-creation and inclusion.
“I’m proud the ideas of this vibrant community will become thriving events this summer in Winsford.”
