WINSFORD Cross Shopping Centre will be ‘abuzz’ on Saturdays over the summer holidays.
Families looking for a free, fun activity need look no further than Winsford Yarn Bombers’ Bee Hunt, running 10am to 2pm on Saturdays from July 27, to August 31.
Maps are available from the Yarn Bombers stall outside Greggs in the shopping centre, which will lead kids and parents to clue hidden around the shopping centre and Town Park.
When you’ve found all the clues and filled in the map, take it back to the Yarn Bombers and you’ll receive a free, super-cute, knitted bee to take home.
Yarn Bombers founder, Sharon O’Brien, said: “We had almost 50 kids taken part in our first Bee Hunt on Saturday, July 27, and we got some wonderful feedback.
"You could sat the place was really abuzz, and the families who took part said they thoroughly enjoyed it.
“It follows in from the popularity of our Snail Trail last summer holidays.
“It’s totally free and everyone’s welcome to take part, but if you enjoy it and can afford to support our work, we have a GoFundMe page.
“We use the donations to buy yarn and equipment to help us carry on making the town look just that little bit nicer.”
