A BOAT explosion has left a man seriously injured.
Emergency services have been called to Winsford after a boat exploded near the Red Lion pub.
Cheshire Police have confirmed that
A spokesperson said: "At around 11.40am on Tuesday (July 30) emergency services were called to reports of an incident near to the Bottom Flashes in Winsford.
"Officers attended the scene and found that there had been an explosion on a boat near to the Red Lion public house on High Street.
"One man has suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident, he has been passed to the care of paramedics.
"Officers remain in attendance at the scene and members of the public area asked to avoid the area."

Nearby residents reported that the 'ground shook' at around 11.40am.
Black smoke was then seen pouring into the skies, with the smell of burning wood wafting into surrounding streets.
Just minutes after the explosion Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service sent two engines, one each from Winsford and Congleton, and the Water Incident Unit from Warrington to the scene.
"Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish a boat on fire," said a CFRS spokesperson.
