IT is brilliant news from Paris 2024 for our two Olympic rowers.
The Ford siblings are both through to the final of their events, Tom in the men's eight and his younger sister Emily in the women's eight.
They were in Team GB crews which won their heats at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium in the French capital this morning, automatically qualifying for Sunday's medal races.
And the pair, who hail from Holmes Chapel and attended The Grange School in Hartford, Northwich, made history by racing in their second Olympics.
Tom, 31, and Emily, 29, have become the first brother and sister pairing to represent Team GB at two Olympic Games as they also represented their country at Tokyo 2020.
They will be in action again in the finals on Saturday.
