ONE year has passed since a stabbing in Northwich and the attempted murder investigation into the incident is still ongoing.

On this day in 2023, a huge emergency service response was called to Hartford Railway Station following reports of a stabbing on a train.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder but was later released on bail.

That bail has since been extended several times and is currently due to expire on January 7, 2025. A formal charge has yet to be made.

It is understood that for now, the ‘investigation is ongoing’.
