BRIDGES are set to swing for longer than usual.
Two bridges in Northwich town centre will swing later this week, the Canal and River Trust has confirmed.
Hayhurst Swing Bridge will swing first, at 9.30am on Thursday (July 25).
This will be followed by Northwich Town Swing Bridge, at 10.30am.
The CRT has said that these swings would usually take five minutes.
However, on this occasion, it could take as long as 20 to 30 minutes.
This is likely to cause some disruption for motorists travelling on Chester Way.
