DRIVERS in Northwich town centre are being warned of road closures which could cause disruption.
Witton Street will close from Monday, July 29, along with Old Warrington Road, Albion Road, and Venables Road.
The closures are to allow United Utilities to do necessary repairs to the sewerage system and will involve digging up portions of the roads.
While the closure order will be in place for 18 months, the work is expected to last up to two weeks.
Access for residents and the area's many businesses will be maintained, but there will be no through route for the duration of the closed period.
A spokesman for Cheshire West and Chester Council said: “Nothing will prevent driving on the said roads any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons, goods, or merchandise, to or from any premises on or adjacent to the roads.
“A through route will not always be possible and any vehicles not requiring access should use alternative routes.”
