A PEDESTRIAN has been taken to hospital after a hit-and-run.

Cheshire Police are investigating a crash on Chester Way in Northwich this afternoon (July 18).

A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital as a result of the collision, which happened near KFC.

Meanwhile, the Mercedes left the scene and police are now working to locate the vehicle.

A spokesperson for the force said: “At 2.48pm on Thursday police were called to a collision involving a pedestrian and a car on Chester Way, Northwich near KFC.

“The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, has been taken to hospital to be checked out.

“The car, a Mercedes left the scene, and officers are making enquiries to locate the vehicle and establish the circumstances of the collision.”
