A PUB has developed a sweet tooth.

Fortysevens in Winsford is starting a new dessert business – Twistys.

Ice cream, waffles, pancakes and milkshakes will all be on the menu when it launches later this week.

Owner of the craft beer bar on Delamere Street, Lucas Parfitt, said: “In my home town of Wigan this is really popular and something I’ve done in the past, and I think Winsford is missing that type of place.

“I have a background running not just bars, but I have owned takeaways and one thing I did was operate multiple brands from one kitchen to increase our output, so that’s what I’m basically doing.”

Fortysevens opened earlier this year in the building previously home to Rango’s and then Eve’s.

Lucas and his partner Poppy Twist have been refurbishing the building, which had suffered a lot of damage after Eve’s closed in December 2022.

On Friday (July 19), they will introduce Twistys – initially only as a menu available at the pub.

A delivery service will launch in the coming weeks and in the future Lucas is hoping to start making his own ice cream too.

And, if all goes well, he will eventually look to convert next door, formerly Lewis Bet, into a standalone dessert shop.

Reflecting on life since opening the doors to Fortysevens in March, Lucas said:  “Whilst it’s been a challenging few months, we are delighted with the positive response we’ve had with our new bar and kitchen, especially our bottomless brunches, and we can’t wait to bring new events and experiences to Winsford.”
