A NORLEY man must complete 100 hours of unpaid work after he breached a restraining order.

Daniel Woodward, of West View Road, contacted a woman on February 6 earlier this year despite being banned from doing so.

A restraining order had been imposed on the 37-year-old by the courts on June 5, 2017.

Woodward returned to Warrington Magistrates Court on July 3, where he pleaded guilty to breaching the restraining order at his first opportunity.

Taking this into account, the bench handed him a 18-month community order in which he must take part in up to 30 days of rehabilitation activity.

Magistrates also ordered Woodward to complete 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.

Woodward most also pay £85 in court costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a surcharge of £114.
