A CHESHIRE artist has joined forces with a garden designer to help support the charities which cared for entrepreneur Marcie Incarico before her death.

Painter Sam Baguley, from Goostrey, will be producing a one-off piece of artwork live from the show garden of Nadine Mansfield at this year’s RHS Flower Show Tatton Park.

Italian-born Marcie, the founder of Out There Events and former managing director of Mix Interiors, died on May 12 at the age of 53, after a battle with cancer.

As a very close friend of Marcie, designer Nadine is dedicating the garden to her memory.

She said: "Marcie was an incredible woman, entrepreneur, and friend.

“Always the cheerleader of her pals, Marcie was the was first person to appoint my garden design services, always championing new talent and cheering on her friends from the sidelines.

“I have known Marcie for 20 years and she was one of the most incredible businesswomen I have ever known; a unique human being, a super humble yet serious operator.

“Her diagnosis was a huge shock and her untimely death truly heartbreaking.”

On Wednesday, July 17, Sam will set up her easel in the show garden to produce a painting celebrating women and the beauty of flowers, trees and nature.

Prints of her one-off painting will go on sale, with Sam agreeing to donate 100 per cent of the profits to The Christie and Maggie’s charities.

She said: "I have exhibited at the Tatton Flower Show in recent years and it's a superb show case of creative talent.

“I am delighted to be working with Nadine to commemorate her first show garden in the Career Changer category.

“It's also a great opportunity to raise money for two charities which do amazing work in the North West."

Nadine, formerly a marketeer for brands such as Manchester United, will be exhibiting within The Career Changer of The Year Competition, a brand new category for 2024.

She added: “Sam is hugely talented, I love her work.

“When we got talking about possible collaborations, we knew having Sam creating one of her beautiful paintings in the show garden would be a lovely way to show how relaxing and peaceful a garden can be.

“I am really looking forward to seeing the final artwork which will be exclusively revealed at the show.”
