A SUPPORT hub which will help businesses in Mid Cheshire is set to launch in Winsford.

Cheshire West and Chester Council is creating three Business, Innovation and Growth (BIG) hubs across the borough, one of which will be located at Meridian House in the Winsford Industrial Estate.

The hubs will provide a base for the delivery of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) business support programme.

They will also host workshops, networking, and support entrepreneurship activity delivered by local and national business support programmes and partners.

Cllr Nathan Pardoe, the cabinet member for inclusive growth, economy and regeneration, said: “Business, Innovation and Growth Hubs are being set up to provide support for local businesses across west Cheshire.

"The council is committed to doing everything we can to help businesses thrive and take opportunities to make new connections and share ideas.

"We are committed to our vision for an inclusive economy to make our borough a greener, fairer and stronger place to live, work and play.

"Supporting businesses to grow, create jobs and develop skills is crucial to achieving this."

A launch event at the Winsford hub, in Road One, will take place between 10am and 12pm on Thursday, July 11.

It will provide businesses an opportunity to learn more about the support on offer at the hubs, network with other businesses, and find out more on the UKSPF business support programme.

Cllr Pardoe added: “I encourage local businesses to attend the launch event in Winsford and keep up to date with everything that our Chester, Ellesmere Port and Winsford Hubs have to offer.”

As part of the council’s commitment to sustainability and supporting the local economy, the Meridian House hub has been furnished with furniture purchased from two charities based on the industrial estate, Changing Lives Together and St Luke’s Hospice both of which are invited to the launch.
