A LUCKY Cheshire man is celebrating after scooping a £95,000 prize on the National Lottery.
The mystery winner, known only as 'Mr J', matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number in the EuroMillions draw on Friday, June 7.
The Cheshire resident has now become one of more than eight million lottery winners each week across a range of games.
Winners can choose to release their name, remain anonymous or, as in this case, release some details through partial publicity.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said, “Fantastic news for 'Mr J', who has banked £95,775.80 on EuroMillions overnight.
"We hope he enjoys this incredible win and whatever he chooses to spend it on."
Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk.
Tickets can also be bought and checked in shops, while playing online via the app or website means your ticket will be checked and you will get an email notification if you win a prize.
Retail tickets can also be scanned on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.
By playing any National Lottery game, players generate £30 million each week for National Lottery-funded projects.
This money helps fund projects across the nation, with more than 690,000 grants – supporting projects both big and small – having been made across the UK to date.
