FIREFIGHTERS had to carry out first aid following a crash.

Emergency services were called to Nantwich Road near Middlewich on Thursday (June 27) following reports of a crash involving two vehicles – a BMW and a Jaguar.

The main road had to be shut as two people were treated for injuries.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters administered first aid to two casualties following a road traffic collision involving two cars.

“They made the scene safe and were in attendance for some forty minutes.”

CFRS sent two engines, one each from the Crewe and Middlewich stations, to the scene shortly after 11.30am.

They were joined there by North West Ambulance Service and Cheshire Police personnel.

A spokesperson for the police said: “At 11.31am on Thursday police were called to a collision on Nantwich Road, Wimboldsley.

“Officers attended and found there had been a collision between a black BMW and a white Jaguar F-Type.

“Paramedics attended the scene and there were no reports of any life-threatening injuries.

“The road was closed while officers dealt with the incident – it re-opened at 1.45pm.”
