BURGER King is set to open a new restaurant in Cheshire.

The fast-food giant has confirmed it is gearing up for opening day at its long-awaited Northwich branch.

Plans for the restaurant have been in the works for some time as part of the development of Condate Retail Park.

Burger King has confirmed the new restaurant will open in the autumn, with applications for manager and assistant manager roles now being accepted.

Jeremy Wright, people director of Burger King UK, said: “We are delighted to be expanding into Northwich with our brand-new restaurant, and through this we’ll be delivering over 25 new job and career opportunities to the area, including restaurant and assistant management roles.

“We’re looking for candidates who are keen to accelerate their careers, develop their full potential, and make friends along the way, all in an inclusive and supportive environment.”

In May 2023, Cheshire West and Chester Council greenlit plans to build a new business estate on the site formerly home to The Care Centre showroom and Enterprise Rent a Car.

An economic study submitted in support of the plans said it could create almost 100 jobs in both construction and once it was up and running, adding around £3.16m to the local economy when the doors are open.

Burger King will occupy one of two new drive-thru units on the land off Old Warrington Road, the other having been taken over by Starbucks which opened in December.

The development of Condate Retail Park has also seen the creation of three smaller units, along with the re-purposing of an existing building.

These properties are to be used by ‘small start-up companies and local existing businesses', according to the planning application.
