TOILET roll being posted through a letterbox is just one of the incidents police had to deal with in May.

PCSO Simon Donnelly has shared details of what kept officers in and around Hartford busy over the last month.

Anti-social behaviour has been one of the biggest areas of concern.

On one occasion, officers attended a school after its central alarm went off. However, after speaking with staff, no trespassers could be found.

A more unusual situation saw toilet roll posted through someone’s letterbox.

Enquiries regarding this matter are ongoing.

There have also been reports of youths riding motorbikes on Moss Farm.

The suspects had been moved on by the location security by the time officers arrived.

Police are also stepping up patrols following reports of 'ongoing damage' to a park as they seek to identify the individuals responsible.

Officers have also been alerted to two men 'acting suspiciously' seen heading towards a school.

In other news, there have been several thefts reported to police between May 4 and June 3, including bottles of cider from a Co-op and £100 from a residential address.

Another incident saw trousers stolen from a Hartford business and a still saw stolen from workmen.

Following enquiries, police have identified and arrested an individual.

On the roads, concerns have been raised about parking in a few areas including Firdale Road, Stone Manor Lane, Hazelmere Close and Riddings Lane.

Officers have also carried out three speed enforcement sessions, on Chester Road and School Lane, capturing a total of 28 offences.
