A NEW food delivery service is coming to Northwich.

Northwich Eats has confirmed it will be launching soon, operating in a similar way to industry giants to Uber Eats and Just Eat.

However, it will have a greater focus on promoting local businesses and ensuring revenue remains within the local economy.

A Facebook post announcing the service read: “We are extremely excited to announce that Northwich Eats is coming soon!

“A brand new locally-based food ordering app exclusively for Northwich and the surrounding areas.”

It adds: “Many of you may be unaware that large national delivery companies such as Just Eat and Uber Eats charge takeaway owners a huge 16 to 38 per cent commission fee for every order placed through their apps.

“At that level, many restaurants have no choice but to pass on that charge to you, their customers.

“Some choose to take the hit and absorb it themselves. Either way, a huge amount of money is being sucked out of our local economy.

“Well, we say it's time to fight back!”

Northwich Eats will offer businesses 'huge savings' on commission fees, allowing them to keep more of the profits.

Customers meanwhile will be able to access 'exclusive deals and hidden gems' that can’t be found elsewhere.

There will be both an app and a website for the service - www.northwicheats.co.uk.
