A post mortem examination was held at Leighton Hospital on April 29.

A coroner’s officer told a hearing at Cheshire Coroners’ Court in Warrington on Wednesday: “Mr Moore was found deceased in bed.

“He had consumed numerous drugs earlier in the day.

“The reason for an inquest is the unnatural cause of death.

“It is requested that an inquest be opened and adjourned for further work to be completed.”

Jacqueline Devonish, senior coroner for Cheshire, opened the inquest and adjourned it until October 2.

A case review will be held on August 4.
