FROM full English and Turkish breakfasts to toasties and bagels – there isn’t anything missing from the breakfast menu at Zaza Café Bar, making it the perfect place to start your day.
The high-end café has toasted the competition and been named as Mid Cheshire’s Best for Breakfast 2024.
In April, we launched our Best of 2024 competition.
This year’s search for Mid Cheshire’s best in a whole host of categories started with hair and Fox Hairdressing was crowned our first winner quickly followed by JD’s Café and their pies.
Next up were picture perfect nails with Blue Beauty Cheshire taking the title, The Bowling Green is officially Best for Roast Dinners and we toasted The Grape and Bean for their cocktails.
Then we moved onto breakfast with customers and readers sending their nominations and votes for their favourite venues to get the day off to the perfect start.
Voting for Mid Cheshire’s Best for Fish and Chips is currently taking place and we’re also looking for nominations in our latest search - Best Beer Garden.

Eleven brilliant breakfasts in Mid Cheshire made the shortlist with Zaza Café Bar taking this year’s coveted crown.
Zsolt Czene opened the business on Witton Street in Northwich in June 2022 having grown up in Hungary and moving to England 15 years ago.
Zsolt, who is 42, said: “I worked as a chef when I first came to England, for a chain of well-known restaurants, and then moved into working in cafés.
“I always wanted to open my own café and work for myself.
“Food – and being a chef – is all I know so it made sense to open my own café.
“Zaza Café Bar serves high end breakfast, brunch and lunch.
“We pride ourselves in serving freshly made food - nothing is pre-packed – and we use local produce of the highest quality.”
Zaza Café Bar serves a whole range of breakfast from toasties and bagels to full English and Turkish breakfasts.
They provide ‘build your own breakfasts’ for the smaller appetites.
Zsolt said: “We pride ourselves in having a warm, welcoming homely atmosphere at Zaza Café Bar.
“Some of our customers are of the older generation and we may be the only people they see and speak to in a day, so we like to provide a warm welcome.
“We believe customers choose us for the freshly made quality of food and the service we provide at the café - many of our customers have become friends over the past two years.
“Peter, our chef, produces beautiful homemade soups daily, and we also have a weekly special that continues to sell out.
“We have a fish and chips on the menu that sells extremely well and not forgetting our Sunday roasts with homemade yorkies.”
What do customers think of Zaza Café Bar? Why did they want the business to win our latest award?
We were inundated with nominations for this place – it’s clearly a popular place to visit when you’re looking to start your day in the right way.
One nomination said: “I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
“It knocks spots off all the others in town!”
Everyone at Zaza Café Bar was thrilled to hear the business had made the shortlist for Mid Cheshire’s Best for Breakfast 2024 and are still celebrating winning the title.
Zsolt said: “We were very happy that we won as it proves all our work and efforts throughout the town is enjoyed by people that continue to support us.
“We pride ourselves in the food we produce and the friendly service we provide.
“The votes of support on social media were above and beyond what we expected them to be.
“We also fully appreciate the posts containing full reviews - they didn’t go unnoticed.
“We will always appreciate all our customers’ continued support as without them we wouldn’t be here.
“We hope that any customer who walks through the door leaves happy and full and we will continue to serve Northwich for as long as the customers visit Zaza Café Bar.”
