A BIN reviewer is bringing his unusual hobby to Northwich.

Andy Bailey, otherwise known as the ‘bin-fluencer’, has grown a respectable social media following after he began giving ‘Top Trump’ scores to street furniture.

Now, the 49-year-old is looking to expand his search beyond his hometown of Congleton, with Northwich in his sights.

He said: “I've had the odd message saying there are bins in Northwich that are worth checking out - so - where exactly are the bins and are they worthy of a visit?

“I'll be looking at Northwich bins in the Autumn but now is the perfect time for Guardian readers to get in touch and suggest their 'stand out' local bins.

“When it comes to rating the bins I look for the 5 P's... Personality, Placement, Pristine, Popularity and Performance.”

Andy began chronicling Congleton’s bins at the start of the year.

The father-of-four was out with his children in Congleton Park when he realised how every bin was unique, including one shaped like a bear.

Since then he has given scores to 89, with his Instagram having gathered nearly 1,500 followers.

His exploits have also seen him feature on TV, on programmes such as BBC North West and Talk Today.

Andy is currently holding a ‘Bins of Congleton World Cup’ to determine the town’s very best.

Some of the contenders include the Kray bins, Jeremy Cor-bin, Binny McBinface, Bin-edict Cumberbatch and R2D2.
