INTERNATIONAL rugby players came to party in Northwich
That South African Place hosted a star-studded farewell barbeque for Premiership rugby players Cobus and Jasper Wiese.
Currently at Sale Sharks and Leicester Tigers respectively, Cobus and Jasper will depart this summer.
Having become somewhat of a hub for South African rugby, the Barons Quay venue put on a fitting send-off for the pair, with a whole host of superstar players joining in the festivities.
Owners of That South African Place, Rayner and Lynika Muller, said: “It was a lekker day and an absolute honour to host a braai at our restaurant.
“To have such big names amongst us was one of our biggest dreams.
“We wish Cobus and Jasper all the best with their moves and definitely will keep in touch and support the brothers.
“For Northwich, we are proud to have such big names in rugby visit us and to stand side by side with a beer in one hand next to the braai was absolutely lekker.”
England legend Manu Tuilagi was among the rugby stars joining the Wiese brothers on Saturday (May 11).
Also in attendance were Sale Sharks’ Ben Bamber, Tommy Taylor, Raffi Quirke, Josh Beaumont and Tongan international Telusa Veainu.
There was also a strong South African contingent with Tigers’ Hanro Liebenberg and the three Du Preez brothers – Dan, Robert and Jean-Luc.
