DRIVERS are being warned of road closures in Davenham and Weaverham, with one starting on Bank Holiday Monday.
Church Street in Davenham will be closed from Monday, May 6, while Scottish Power install new services.
Access will be maintained for residents and businesses, but anyone requiring a through route should find an alternative.
The work is expected to take around eight days to complete.
Drivers who need a through route should travel via Church Street, London Road, Davenham roundabout, Shurlach Road, Rudheath roundabout, King Street southbound, Morrisons roundabout, King Street southbound, King Street northbound, King Street, Davenham Road, and Shipbrook Road.
Shady Brook Lane in Weaverham will also be closed from Tuesday, May 7.
This is to allow civil engineering firm Bethells to install new ducting.
The work is expected to last around 15 days, but access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
The proposed alternative route is via Shady Brook Lane, Well Lane, and Sandy Lane.
A spokesman for Cheshire West and Chester Council said: “The closures won’t prevent driving of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of people, goods, or merchandise, to or from any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or in connection with agriculture, building construction works, or emergency vehicles.
“Any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of roads should use the alternative routes.”
