EYES will turn to the skies at one of the summer’s most anticipated events.
The return of the Bolesworth International Equestrian Summer Festival is quickly approaching and organisers promise it will be the 'best yet'.
Following the success of the inaugural Cheshire Balloon Fiesta last year, organisers have decided to get in on the action by hosting more than 20 hot air balloon launches.
Managing director Nina Barbour said: “We are absolutely delighted to have secured the hot air balloons for the final weekend of this summer’s Bolesworth International.
“They are always very popular with the crowds here so introducing them to what’s already a stellar series of activities and attractions will go down – or up! – very well with visitors.
“We will actually have more hot air balloons and displays than ever before so it’s going to be a special addition to this year’s celebrations.”
Cheshire Balloon Fiesta will take a break in 2024 and return in Summer 2025.
"The decision to postpone Cheshire Balloon Fiesta was not taken lightly, but our team are committed to exploring new ways to bring joy and entertainment to those that support us," reads the event's website.
Fortunately, the Bolesworth International Equestrian Summer Festival will fill the balloon-shaped hole in the summer calendar.
Balloon launches and night glows will take place on the final two nights of the festival, which runs from June 6 to 16 at Bolesworth Castle.
Campers that rise early may also catch the morning flights on Saturday and Sunday (June 15 and 16).
Elsewhere in the lineup, guests will be able to marvel at some of the top names in international showjumping as well as meet celebrity guests and enjoy family entertainment, dog friendly activities and live music.
Taking to the stage on the last two nights will be electronic duo Phats and Small, Ricky Parfitt Junior, RPJ Band, and Coyote, with more acts due to be announced.
Other highlights include the return of Ben Atkinson and his stunt horses, freestyle motocross displays, and a shopping village,
“Every year we push the boundaries in uniting the world of equestrianism with entertainment, live music and adrenaline-fuelled activities,” said Nina.
“This year is no exception, in fact it’s the best yet! So be sure to book your tickets soon – don’t miss out.”
Tickets are on sale now and up to 50 per cent off until May 31.
