WINSFORD’S Wetherspoons is officially spotless.
After its latest food hygiene inspection on Tuesday, April 16, the Queen’s Arms, in Dene Drive, was handed the best possible score of 5, or Very Good.
Inspectors from Cheshire West and Chester Council did a deep dive into food hygiene and safety, compliance with codes of best practice, and management, giving the pub and eatery top marks in all areas.
The grade will be on display for customers to see, as well as online, as part of the Scores on the Doors programme, which aims to highlight hygiene standards in pubs, restaurants, take-aways, and clubs across the borough.
The Queen’s Arms manager, Ben Burgess, said: “We’re delighted to have gained the top rating and I’m sure our customers will welcome the news too.
“Standards of hygiene at the pub are of paramount importance.
“All of the staff work hard to ensure the pub offers its customers the highest levels of hygiene at all times, and we’re delighted our efforts have been recognised with the five-star rating.”
