STUDENTS in Winsford are ready for their prom nights thanks to a local charity.
The Green Uniform and Baby Bank held its second annual One Stop Prom Shop on Sunday (April 28).
A huge variety of dresses, suits and accessories were on sale, all at a fraction of the price.
GUBB has since taken to Facebook to thank everyone who got involved in the event.
“We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everybody who came along to our One Stop Pre-Loved Prom Shop event yesterday,” the post read.
“It was lovely to see so many young people trying on and finding their perfect outfits.
“An extra huge thank you to all of our volunteers who worked their socks off all day and were happy, smiling and super friendly.”
The post continues, thanking Tangled Events for decorating Winsford Academy for the occasion, complete with a red carpet and flower arch, and St Luke’s Hospice for running a stall.
There is also praise for Resitched by Ronya, who offered advice on alterations, as well as a variety of other prom night services.
“If I have forgotten anybody I apologise, but again thank you for supporting us in these events, they take a huge amount of time, effort, sometimes choice language and planning but once they are happening we always realise just how rewarding they are,” the Facebook post adds.
