ICONIC singer-songwriter Lisa Stansfield has been announced as the headline act at Cheshire's 'premium boutique' festival.
Fresh from winning the Northern icon award at the inaugural Northern Music Awards, the Rochdale-born star will head the lineup at Cheshire Fest 2024 later this summer.
Best known for her chart-topping 1989 hit 'All Around The World', Stansfield joins artists such as acid jazz and funk group The Brand New Heavies and iconic dance vocalist Jocelyn Brown on the bill at Capesthorne Hall near Macclesfield.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fest 2024, which takes place on August 31, said: "Headlining our main stage at this year’s Cheshire Fest is none other than the legendary Lisa Stansfield.
"Britain has produced some of the world’s best-loved artists over the past four decades - but few, if any, have been as soulful as Lisa, with top hits such as 'All Around The World', 'People Hold On', 'The Real Thing' and 'Never, Never Going To Give You Up'.
"This is a headliner you don’t want to miss."
Jon Fitz, the creative director behind the festival, said: "Cheshire Fest isn’t just a festival, it’s a moment in the calendar to celebrate culture.
"We’re bringing some of dance music's finest acts and the region’s best food and beverages to our first year in the grounds of Capesthorne Hall.
"Everyone will be able to make their own day of the festival - there is something for everyone and it will be a party for the books.”
Elsewhere at the festival, reality star-turned-DJ Mark Wright will be blasting out tunes in a not-to-be-missed set.
Musical duo Lovely Laura and Ben Santiago will also appear on the bill, alongside The House & Garage Orchestra and Herd & Fitz, the duo behind early Noughties record 'I Just Can't Get Enough'.
Also on the festival line-up is Manchester band Sweet Female Attitude, Aline Rocha, The Murphy Brothers, Electric Emma, JD and Tom Da Lips.
Festival goers can indulge in an unparalleled ambiance at Cheshire Fest, immersing themselves in live music experiences with headline performances on the main stage, which will be hosted throughout the day by well known faces such as Scott Thomas.
If guests want to up the party vibes, then they can experience world-class DJ sets in the House & Vocal area with a never-before-seen 360 Dance Arena.
The festival will also offer more intimate and acoustic atmospheres at the Live Lounge area which will be sponsored by Stockport’s latest hot-spot, Bask.
