DISRUPTION is expected as two town centre bridges are set to swing.
Motorists can expect delays as two bridges along the River Weaver will be swung this week for testing.
The Canal and Rivers Trust has confirmed that both Northwich Town Swing Bridge and Hayhurst Swing Bridge will be used on Friday (April 26).
Hayhurst Swing Bridge will swing at 9.30am followed by Town Swing Bridge at 10.30am.
The Canal and Rivers Trust has said this is for 'for test purposes only'.
Each of the swings will take around 20 to 30 minutes.
This will likely cause some delays on the roads, bringing Chester Way to a halt for large periods of the morning.
‼️ Public Notice: #WeaverNavigation - We will be swinging #Northwich Town Swing Bridge, A533, Chester Way, tomorrow Friday 26th April at 10:30am. This is for test purposes only, expecting to take 20-30mins @CheshireFire @cheshirepolice @Go_CheshireWest @PoliceNorthwich
