FIREFIGHTERS freed a casualty trapped inside a vehicle after a crash on the A54.
Fire engines from Northwich and Winsford were called to the scene of the two-car crash on the A54, near Delamere, on Wednesday, April 24, at 18.07pm.
The crash left a person trapped inside one of the vehicles.
They were freed by fire crews and paramedics before being taken to hospital.
The A54 was closed for some time while emergency services worked.
Fire crews had left the scene by 7.30pm.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters attended at the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on A54, Delamere, at 18.07pm on Wednesday, April 24.
“The road was closed, and drivers were advised to avoid the area.
“A person was trapped in one of the vehicles, so firefighters worked with paramedics to release the casualty, who was then taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
“Fire crews left the scene by 7.30pm.”
