A 'DANGEROUS' drink-driver from Northwich has been banned from the roads.
Christian Avis, of Church Street, Davenham, was caught driving dangerously, while over the limit, in a Toyota Corolla along Delamere Street, Winsford, on February 25 earlier this year.
The 27-year-old was found to have 68 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of his breath - almost twice the legal limit of 35.
After previously pleading guilty to drink-driving and dangerous driving charges, Avis appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on April 22 for sentencing.
Taking his admissions into account, magistrates handed him a 12-month community order and disqualified him from driving for 18 months.
As part of the order, Avis must complete 180 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £120 in court costs and a £114 surcharge.
Avis' driving ban started from March 19 - the date he was handed an interim disqualification by the court.
